When the Shift Follows You Home
The shift is over, but you’re still carrying it. We’ll try a transition practice and explore how to explain a need for quiet while making room to reconnect.

For nurses · Five complimentary sessions · Live on Zoom
When the Healer Is Hurting
You clocked out.
Your mind didn’t.
You cared for everyone on your shift. Now you’re home, tired, and still carrying the day. Who’s checking on you?
Save my place45 minutes each Friday. Complimentary sessions. You can come and just listen.
Does this sound familiar?
You can care about nursing and still be worn out by what it asks of you.
In the ER, on the floor, or in a clinic, you’re expected to keep going. Then you get home, and life needs something from you, too.
Where do you put all of that?

What we’ll work on
Maybe it’s enjoying your day off. Feeling closer to the people you love. Having room to think about what you want next.
I’m inviting you to five Friday sessions to look at what’s getting in the way and explore what needs support or change. Staffing, bills, and responsibilities matter in that conversation, too.
Our time together
Each session includes teaching, private reflection, a practical takeaway, and a brief opportunity for optional questions or discussion. You can take part without sharing personal experiences.
The shift is over, but you’re still carrying it. We’ll try a transition practice and explore how to explain a need for quiet while making room to reconnect.
Everyone leans on you. Where do you lean? We’ll talk about why asking for help can be hard and how to take one small step.
Is it stress? Grief? Burnout? We’ll find words for what you may be feeling and talk about where to turn for help.
Knowing what might help doesn’t make it easy to use. We’ll keep staffing, bills, and family needs in view as we explore a realistic next step.
What is this costing you, and what needs to change? Your next step may involve support, relationships, workload, or a different role. We’ll begin a plan that fits your circumstances.

Some days, you need a minute before you can even get out of the car.Let’s talk about what you’re carrying.
A word from Harry
I’m a licensed clinical social worker. I’ve worked in hospital, community, and correctional mental health settings.
For these five Fridays, I’m here to teach and guide the conversation. I want us to look honestly at what you carry and what might help.
Short staffing, missed breaks, bills, and family needs are real. We’ll keep those in view as we talk about what you can do and where you need support.
You can acknowledge that things are hard without explaining everything. You don’t have to have the right words. You can start by showing up.
A few things to know
If you’re a nurse and the work has been weighing on you, you’re welcome here. Other healthcare workers who care for patients are welcome, too. Our examples will focus on nursing.
No. You can listen, keep your camera off, and skip any activity. Please leave out patient names and details that could identify someone. We ask everyone to respect privacy, but we can’t promise what others may repeat.
The teaching replay will be available for 72 hours after each session. Group discussion and Q&A will stay out of the replay.
All five sessions are complimentary. You’ll also get learning materials to keep. You don’t have to buy anything to take part.
No. This is a place to learn and reflect. Joining does not make me your therapist. We won’t diagnose or treat anyone, and the series does not provide crisis care.
